Holistic Supports that Help Ease Anxiety, Fear, and Hopelessness

Feeling empowered can help calm anxiety and fear. Actively doing something to support yourself goes a long way in creating a sense of empowerment. I would like to share some holistic supports I have found particularly helpful in shifting anxiety, fear, panic, and hopelessness.

Calming and Uplifting Herbal Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
  • 2 tablespoons dried chamomile
  • 2 tablespoons dried lemon balm (omit if pregnant)
  • 2 tablespoons dried spearmint
  • 4 tablespoons dried marshmallow root

Instructions:

    Place all the dried herbs into a small glass mason jar.
  2. 2
    Mix well.
  3. 3
    Store your tea in a dark cool place.
  4. 4
    To make a cup of tea, place 1 tablespoon of your mixed herbs into a French press.
  5. 5
    Add 1 cup of freshly boiled filtered water.
  6. 6
    Steep for 10 minutes.
  7. 7
    Press off and enjoy!
  8. 8
    Drink up to 4 cups of tea a day.

Uplifting Essential Oil Blend

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces avocado oil
  • 1 to 2 drops organic peppermint essential oil
  • 4 drops organic grapefruit essential oil

Instructions:

    Place all ingredients into a small glass mason jar.
  2. 2
    Mix well.
  3. 3
    Store your oil blend in a cool dark place.
  4. 4
    Massage a small amount of your uplifting oil onto the back of your neck, the inside of your wrists, and underneath your nose.

    Take a moment to close your eyes and do some deep breathing.

     You may also use your uplifting oil blend to make a salt scrub.

    Mix ½ tablespoon of your oil blend with a handful of fine sea salt.
  8. 8
    This makes a fabulous uplifting and energetically clearing shower scrub.

  • 2 drops organic mandarin essential oil
  • 1 drop organic vanilla essential oil

    Store your oil blend in a cool dark place.

    Massage a small amount of your calming oil blend onto the back of your neck, the inside of your wrists, and underneath your nose.

    You may also use your oil blend in the bath.

    Place a handful of Epsom salts and a handful of sea salt into your tub.
  8. 8
    Close the tub drain.
  9. 9
    Add 1 tablespoon of your calming oil blend to the salts and mix well.

    Fill your tub with warm water.

    Soak, breathe, and relax.

Crystals and gemstones are potent healing helpers. There are several easy ways to tap into this powerful medicine. Hold a stone in the palm of your hand as you meditate, place a small polished stone in your pocket, or place a stone in your pillowcase while you sleep.
The following stone suggestions help calm anxiety and bring in a sense of safety and hope:

  • Angelite (brings in hope and eases loneliness)
  • Blue calcite (helps clear fear and imparts a sense of hope)
  • Blue tiger’s eye (calms anxiety and panic)
  • Aquamarine (calms mental anxiety)
  • White howlite (supports calm stillness and nourishing sleep)
  • Kyanite (brings in balance and energetic alignment)
  • Black tourmaline (grounding)
  • Red jasper (nurturing)

Flower essences are powerful plant spirit medicine that bypass the ego. These beautiful allies provide deep and potent support on all levels. The following flower essence blend supports a sense of courage, safety, hope, optimism, emotional balance, and mental balance.

Into a small glass dropper bottle place:

  • 1 drop Aspen flower essence
  • 1 drop Gorse flower essence
  • 1 drop White Chestnut flower essence
  •  1 drop Sweet Chestnut flower essence

Fill the bottle with spring water. Cap and shake to mix. Label your essence blend with ingredients and date. Take 4 drops of your essence blend when you are feeling anxious, panicked, fearful, hopeless, or in need of emotional or mental balance. You may place 4 drops of your essence blend directly into your mouth or into a large glass of filtered water and sip slowly.
