Let Go and Live Your Best Life!

Empowered Goddess Quick Tip

Learning to let go can be profoundly challenging.  Letting go and releasing involves change which is a terrifying prospect to most.  Many times, holding on can seem easier, less complicated, and a more comfortable choice.  Sometimes letting go means ending a relationship, repatterning thought processes, changing your living or job situation, or saying goodbye to someone or something you deeply love.

Often a sense of not wanting to lose control can be strongly activated when moving through the process of letting go.  Additionally, grief is a common and intense emotional reaction as feelings of loss are deeply triggering.  At times all of this can seem quite overwhelming.

Therefore, a first healthy helpful step in letting go can be found in honoring and processing your sense of loss and grief.  This begins your journey into a more balanced state of being.  It is important to understand that these reactions have the potential to block your capacity to let go and live your best life—if they are not processed and dealt with in a positive and healthy manner.

There is no amount of holding on that will change the past or the future.  In fact, continuing to hold on creates resistance, pain, energetic sluggishness, and confusion.  When you hold on, you create a state of imbalance by giving your energy and focus to something you cannot change.  This will make you feel powerless.

When you let go, you release yourself, freeing your energy and focus.  Doing so, allows you to reclaim your energetic focus, the present moment, and your life experience as your own.  This creates a tremendous sense of empowerment.

It can also be very helpful to remember that energy follows focus.  Being mindful of where you are spending your energy and focus is very enlightening and healing.  For grounding yourself and your focus into your present life existence is foundational to letting go.

Sustained focus or spinning obsession on the past or future blocks your ability to release and let go with ease.  Holding on creates pain, imbalance, and great unhappiness.  Are you unintentionally imprisoning yourself with the energies of resistance and holding on?  Remember that the act of letting go releases you and frees you to live your best life!

Understanding all of this is vital to letting go and embracing a true sense of lasting joy within your life experience.  Release and letting go encourages and supports your expansion into your full capacity, allowing you to reclaim the truth of your heart’s passion and the song of your soul.

So, the next time you feel yourself holding on to something, take a moment and breathe.  Intend and visualize that which you are holding onto flowing down to the core of mother earth.

Once your clearing and releasing feels complete, take a moment to reflect upon one of your blessings.  What are you grateful for?  Take a moment to focus your energy and breathe deeply into the essence of joy and gratitude.

Using this exercise daily creates a strong foundational practice in clearing and letting go.  Before you know it, you will be letting go with ease and embracing a happier and healthier life!
