This year, in the northern hemisphere, the Spring Equinox occurs on Saturday March 20th. The spring season affords the ideal opportunity to energetically press the reset button and start anew. This is an opportune time to set new goals, fresh intentions, and expand abundance.
Consciously dropping down into the essence of springtime empowers you to more fully experience the energies of release and renewal. Now is the perfect time to support the clearing out of all that no longer serves you and manifest new beginnings, a fresh start. This also encourages the reclamation of your co-creative process as sacred, clearing the way for abundant flow and goal manifestation.
Spending some time acknowledging and celebrating the Spring Equinox through ritual and ceremony offers an unencumbered connection to the potent healing energies of selfcare, release, and renewal. In my experience, the most powerful rituals are the simplest rituals. Here I share my favorite way to celebrate the Spring Equinox.
Energetic Release Ritual
Complete your energetic release ritual on the day of the Spring Equinox. Begin by drumming for a few minutes. This is grounding and energetically clearing. Once your drumming time is complete, prepare a clearing bath. Place a handful of sea salt and a handful of Epsom salts in the bottom of your tub. In a small glass bowl mix together two drops peppermint essential oil, two drops orange essential oil, and two tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil. Add the oil mixture to the salts you placed in the bathtub and mix well. Carefully place small pieces of spider web jasper, clear quartz, peridot, and black tourmaline at the four corners of your bathtub. Fill your bath with warm water. As you soak, set the intention of releasing all energies that are not yours and all beliefs and perceptions that no longer serve your highest good. Direct the unwanted energies into the core of mother earth where they will be taken up and transmuted on your behalf.
Reset and Renew Ritual
On the evening of the Spring Equinox make a jar of moon water. To do so, place a clear glass container, filled with water, out in the moonlight for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight.
Complete your reset and renew ritual on the day that follows the Spring Equinox. Begin with meditation or quiet contemplation. When you feel calm and centered, write down your goals and desires. What are the energetic seeds of renewal and abundance you would like to plant and nurture to fruition? After this process feels complete place a pinch of salt in the center of your paper, fold it, and burn it. As the smoke rises, your intentions are carried up into the universe. Once the ashes are cooled give them back to the earth with gratitude, trusting that your intentions and goals will come back to you in physical form. Complete your ritual with a moon water bath. To do so, run a bath and add the moon water you created on the evening of the Spring Equinox. As you soak in your moon bath, breathe deeply and center yourself in the essence of joy and gratitude.
Wishing you a beautiful Spring Equinox filled with hope and the bright new possibilities of renewal!
